What is PTA?

PTA is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization.  Our mission is to support and advocate for our children by collaborating with staff, families, and the broader community to foster a safe and inclusive learning environment where all students thrive socially, emotionally, and academically. Hill PTA has over 50 committees and over 100 volunteers who raise funds and administer programs to enrich our children’s learning experience. We have monthly meetings in the library after drop off.

How do I get involved?

A portion of your membership dues goes to the Texas PTA organization. These funds support lobbying efforts on behalf of public education. The Texas PTA also conducts training and provides support to local PTA organizations. The more members PTA has, the more influence it can have. We strive for 100% participation.

Whether you can make a recurring commitment or just have 30 minutes to spare on a single afternoon, your time makes a difference. Volunteering at school is a great way to support your child’s learning, connect with other families, and strengthen our school community. From helping at events, making copies for teachers, or serving on a committee—there’s something for everyone. No experience needed, just a willingness to pitch in when you can. We’d love to have you on board!

Our three largest fundraisers are 1) Dillo Donations 2) Hoopla 3) Spirit Gear. We have many other programs that also raise funds for our school such as Birthday Books, Birthday Posters, Yearbook, Book Fair and more!
