Girl Scouts sign up is open for all grade levels! New troops for K – 1st grade are forming, and there is room for all interested future-Girl Scouts in our existing 2nd – 5th grade troops. Girl Scouts is a great tradition, super fun, and an awesome way to bond with, and celebrate, other Hill girls! Hill’s Country Carnival is back on Friday, March 4th from 5:30-7:30pm! This is now a new AISD holiday for students and staff so come celebrate the extra day off with an evening under the stars filled with all your Carnival favorites and some new additions. That’s right, pedestal joust, rock wall, football toss and soda toss are back! We’ll also have double the petting zoo for less wait time and more cuddly goat time.
We know everyone is wondering – YES! the famous HILL HAUNTED HOUSE is back and better than ever. Tell your friends. The 5th graders have been hard at work to make it the best Haunted House yet.
New this year – we’ll have local food trucks in our “Carnival Food Truck Park” so plan for dinner and of course some sweet treats..
We can hardly wait for the inaugural running of the armadillos!! There will be live armadillo racing and photo opps throughout Carnival so make sure you don’t miss out on this dillo-rific opportunity. Keep an eye out in Dillo Details for more details including wristband sales for all-the-fun-you-can-fit unlimited games and rides.
When you join Hill PTA at the $10 individual OR $20 family membership levels, you provide programs and materials for our Dillos they wouldn’t otherwise have. Aunts, uncles, grandparents, neighbors, friends, and colleagues can also join to strengthen our impact! These funds help us enhance the educational experience for every Hill student and better support our amazing teachers and staff. Theatre Production at Murchison Middle School (MMS) is a special class with unique needs. We produce theatrical plays, which requires funding! Funds raised help pay for costumes, make-up & hair supplies, props, set supplies, lighting supplies, maintenance of cafeteria stage, buses for UIL and Fairy Tale tour, meals for late night rehearsals, scripts & royalties fees, cast party supplies, and end of show gifts.
To support our fundraising goals we are selling items from Boon Supply, and 40% of all sales go to Theatre Arts classrooms! We trust and love their products and think you will too. Their products are eco-conscious, sustainably sourced, and fashion-forward. This year, sales are completely online and end September 8th. MMS Theatre appreciates your support as it helps us support students’ arts education!
