Austin Partners in Education (APIE) has become a Texas Uniform Unincorporated Nonprofit Association and the founders are the Austin Independent School District and the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce. The program encourages business and community involvement in public schools to enhance the quality of education, and its mission is to create and foster effective community partnerships that support and enrich student learning and success.
The Partnership Plan documents the school and community Partnerships that support the APIE program. By completing this Partnership Plan, the Partner organization/individual and the specific AISD school/program agree to formally recognize their partnership. As a Partner, an organization/individual will be recognized in APIE publications and included in APIE program activities. Partners are also eligible to be nominated for annual Salute Awards.
The Partnership Plan should be completed with a School Contact, Program or District representative, or an APIE staff member. The Plan should reflect the current or anticipated activities or contributions that are being, or will be, undertaken as part of the partnership. Please note that a separate Partnership Plan should be completed for each campus, program or department involved in a partnership.
