Arrival/Dismissal Procedure

Hill Drop-off and Pick-up Procedures

Please use only the front, circular drive for drop-off and pick-up.  

Morning Drop-Off

When entering the circular drive, please stay to the right and have your child remain in the car until you have driven past the main crosswalk.  Students should exit cars quickly.  Our Hill Safety Patrol will help them unload.  Please exit the circular drive and turn right to assist the traffic flow.

Afternoon pick-up

All students will wait at the Parent Pick-Up Point (the end of the circular drive) to be picked up. 

Please help us keep students, parents, and staff safe at Hill by observing the following safety procedures:

1.   Drop-off and pick-up students in the front of the school.  The driveway between the portables at the back of the building is ONLY for buses and staff use.

2.  Please do not drop students off on Robbie Lane or Cima Serena. 

3.  Use the main crosswalk to safely walk across the circular drive.

4.  Follow the directions of staff and Hill Safety Patrol members.

5.  Please refrain from cell phone use once you enter the circular drive.

Dismissal Procedure for parents picking up in the school building

The dismissal procedure of Hill is as follows:

At 2:35, parents here to pick up children after school may begin to congregate in the cafeteria.  Tables will be designated for each grade – please wait for your children there.  Students will enter the cafeteria through the front doors behind the Yellow Brick Wall, and parents will exit with their children out the side doors on either side of the stage.

If you are here to pick your child up before dismissal for any reason (vacation, doctor’s appointment, etc), you must come to the office first and sign your child out, providing an ID if requested.

If you are dropping off lunch, homework, a jacket, etc. during the day, please bring the item to the office, and we will get it to your child.  

Please note that all doors to the school building (with the exception of the front doors) will be LOCKED during school hours. Vistors that come to Hill between 7:45 and 2:35pm, will need to use the call button to the right of the main entrance before entering the buidling.  All visitors must enter through the front doors and sign in at the office. The back doors will be open only during drop-off in the morning and pick-up in the afternoon.
